Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Two Saint Francis University football players who have been accused of raping a woman in the basement of a Loretto Borough home appeared in court Friday.
In January, Marcel Mami and Daunte White were charged for allegedly raping the woman at a party.
Both Mami and White entered not guilty pleas during Friday's preliminary hearing.
Their attorneys also claimed that the alleged victim was lying and filed a motion to have their charges dismissed.
The alleged victim took the stand during the hearing, where she testified to the alleged assault.
She admitted to being intoxicated and claimed that Mami "pushed" her into the basement of the home, where he and White reportedly "forced" her to perform sexual acts.
She also testified that the alleged incident was "not consensual."
Police also took the stand during the preliminary hearing and testified as to when they received the alleged rape complaint.
Police stated that the complaint was referred to them by state police after it was reported to them in August of last year.
Both Mami and White's charges have been held for court and they are scheduled to be formally arraigned in late July.
