CLAYSBURG - Officials have released more information after a group of Pittsburgh investors purchased Blue Knob All Seasons Resort.

According to deeds, Sustainable Hospitality and Development LP purchased the numerous parcels of the property in Bedford and Blair counties for a total of $1,297,309.50.

Monday, Blue Knob officials discuss the sale for the first time and said the new owners are committed to keeping the current atmosphere while making "a better Blue Knob."

According to a news announcement, the new owners are avid skier that enjoy the resort and are looking to enhance the ski experience and expand the resort for a year-round operation.

Officials said Scott Bender, former CEO of Seven Springs and Hidden Valley Resorts, aided both sides in the sale and will act as an adviser in transition for Sustainable Hospitality and Development.

Officials said they expect more details on the new plans to be announced in the near future.

Blue Knob had been owned by the Richard Gauthier family since 1983.
