The grand opening of the new Domino’s location on Goucher street happened on Monday.
The new location features new state of the art technology and services that the owner and employees are excited to share with the community.
The store, originally located in the Moxam area of Johnstown has found a new home on Goucher street.
Local Domino's Chain Owner Sheldon Port told us: "We’re super excited to be in this part of town and offering a new area for delivery and carry-out service."
The new location features new technology, a new open viewing service for customers to see their food being prepared and a drive-thru.
"It’s awesome. It’s exciting for customers. Obviously with kids or pets, they don’t have to get out of their vehicle. It is a pick up only window. There aren’t ordering capabilities at it, which is important for people to understand. However, it is still very convenient." says Port
The store still offers curbside pick-up, so customers will have both options.
The new opening also creates more job opportunities in the community.
"We actually had to hire a lot of people and we are still hiring. It’s important for everyone in Johnstown to understand that we are still hiring and we anticipate being very busy at this location. We want people to know that there are job opportunities here." said Port
The store’s employees are required to wash their hands often while working and spray down their delivery bags every time they come back into the store.
