
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — "He had a heart of gold and dropped everything he was doing at the moment to help someone in need."
These are the words expressed by members of Citizens Fire Company in Penbrook, who are grieving the loss of one of their fellow firemen.
According to the Cumberland County Coroner, 28-year-old Orion Bekelja of Harrisburg was killed at around 2:52 a.m. on Sunday on Rt. 11 and Rt. 15 southbound, near Enola Rd.
East Pennsboro Twp. Police, saying that the firefighter was riding his motorcycle when he suddenly lost control, fatally crashing into a barrier near the roadway.
Bekelja was heavily involved in the community and had a passion for assisting his people, being a part of both Steelton Fire Department and Citizens Fire Company.

The Steelton Police Department is keeping Orion and his family in our thoughts and prayers.Citizens Fire Company says Bekelja dedicated four years of his life to the station, serving the fire department between 2011 and 2014 before rejoining the station again in Sept. of 2022 until his death.
The station says that they are planning to have a fundraiser for Bekelja's family in the near future.
