JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The third annual 1-Mile Fun Walk for Whiskers n’ Wags event took place Saturday.
Pets and owners began their journey at 10 a.m. at the Johnstown Veterinary Associates’ building and completed the walk at the Greater Johnstown Middle School.
Organizers said the goal for the event was to help local animal rescue groups while providing a great workout for the pets.
The Johnstown Veterinary Associates hosted the event. Money raised Saturday will go to dog and cat rescue groups including Habitat for Hounds, the Nardecchia Spay and Neuter Fund and their own Emergency Animal Care Fund.
