JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — An eight-week retrospective exhibition featuring the work of Steve Ditko opened Thursday at Bottle Works in Johnstown.
Ditko was born and raised locally, and is the co-creator of Spider-Man, creator of Dr. Strange and countless other comic book icons.
The exhibition will be open until September 11th and will feature work from his early years and throughout his career.
"So, this is a tribute exhibit to him. Him being from Johnstown. We were working with the family for the past year or two to highlight his legacy. And we're really excited to present his work within his hometown."
Ditko passed away in June 2018 at the age of 90.
